Home of the Brave (spoiler)

3 days ago I decided to rent that movie and it was definatelly a good choice. The great cast (Samuel L. Jackson, Curtis Jackson, Jessica Biel) guaranteed a very interesting film. In the movie we follow the life of four Iraqui war veterans. Will (S.L. Jackson), a doctor who decided to go to Iraq and perform his patriotic duty, Vanessa (Biel) who is the mother of a four-year old boy, Tommy (Presley) who is in his early twenties (he loses his best friend in Iraq), and finally Jemal (50Cent) who is a good friend of Tommy. All of them return home from Iraq and they have a real problem adjusting to life back in America. Will cannot sleep at night and he starts drinking, after consulting his wife he decides to seek help and sees a psychiatrist. Vanessa loses her right hand and is frustrated with the lack of help from the government. Jemal is killed in an incident at a fast food resutaurant.

Tommy seeks for his spot in the society, he works at a movie theater selling tickets, but obviously that is not something he wants to do for the rest of his life. His father advises him to take the Police exam and become a police officer. He walks out in the middle of it. He decides to reinlist and go back to Iraq, he says that he has to go because if he doesn't then his friend's death was for nothing.

The movie shows the war from an interesting perspective, people who fight for their country return home and they are left on their own, they receive very little help from the government that promised them so much. Frustration is the first thing that occurs, and in Jemal's case it leads to a tragedy.

Respect and Tolerate

Sometimes in life we are so driven by the things we believe in that we don't realize that we are imposing them on others. Very often we are unaware of what we do and then when we want to take it back, it is already too late. The damage has been done, and you cannot believe what came out of your mouth.
We have to respect everyone's believes as they are what makes everyone unique, their set of values and morals could be slightly different, but it doesn't make them in any shape or form worse than us, on the contrary, it makes them good people because otherwise you wouldn't be so close with them.
